Pythium Disease Management
Symptoms: cottony blight, small spots or patches suddenly appear during warm, wet periods; water-soaked, greasy looking, dark lesions. Leaves shrivel and turn from green to light brown.patches follow drainage or mowing patterns; damages crown and stolons; usually develops under humid, excess water conditions with temperatures >80 F, especially >90 F.
Cultural control: remove thatch
avoid overwatering and overfertilization (lush growth)
improve air circulation
improve drainage
